John Lennon Memorabilia Defines Liverpool

As a city, Liverpool is hardly short of folk heroes. From sporting superstars to Hollywood A-listers, we've seen them all at one time or another. It’s the musicians of the Mersey that really stick long in the memory, though. John Lennon and Liverpool, in particular, will always be linked.

Naturally, this means that anybody lucky enough to visit Liverpool will not struggle to find great John Lennon memorabilia. It all begins from the moment you fly into Liverpool John Lennon airport. From there you can visit John's childhood home, check out the Cavern Club where The Beatles made their name, and have your picture taken with the famous status on Mathew Street.

Don't panic if you're unable to fly into Liverpool, though. In the current day and age, travel  is increasingly problematic. Thankfully, nobody needs to be physically located in Liverpool to pick up genuine, homegrown John Lennon memorabilia. Thank you, internet!

As a friend of John and his first wife Cynthia, as well as a dyed in the wool Scouser, Helen Anderson is better placed than most to understand the significance of John Lennon to Liverpool. In their role as a fashion designer, Helen created arguably the most iconic piece of John Lennon memorabilia of all time when she returned to Blighty from a stint in Rome. We're referring to the iconic leather cap that John wore in the mid 1960s.

Over the years, Helen had countless requests to create replica versions of this famous leather cap, just a handful of which she acquiesced to when she had the time. It wasn't until 2017 that this ultimate example of John Lennon memorabilia really re-entered Helen's life. Helen has a handful of replica caps left for sale on her website, and ships all over the world. If you're keen to pay tribute to John Lennon, Liverpool's favourite son, there are few more stylish ways to do so!
