Cordova Plugins are often developed separately from the core Cordova framework and distributed separately. They are the best way to extend Cordova’s capabilities, but can be tricky to get working. When building with Cordova, it is important to understand that each plugin you use is attempting to modify your project in some way. You must ensure that no two plugins attempt to modify the same areas of your project, or you will run into problems during installation or runtime.
