The Indian skipper announced the playing XI of the Men in Blue for the Test series
Indian Cricket Team skipper Virat Kohli spoke during a press conference on the eve of the first Test match against South Africa. Kohli was awed at the reporters who attended. The team captain said that everyone just chilled during the T20I series.
‘Nobody (from the media) turns up for T20Is. Everyone’s just chilling’, Kohli said.
India concluded the T20I series last week in Bengaluru. The series ended with a draw with one match abandoned due to rain.
South Africa Cricket Team skipper Quinton de Kock also said before that the press conference he attended ahead of the second T20I was a ‘dull one’. He noticed that fewer questions were asked.
In the press conference, Virat Kohli also spoke about the playing XI of the first Test match. He announced that Wriddhiman Saha will be the team’s wicketkeeper since Rishabh Pant was dropped from the line-up. Kohli also mentioned that Rohit Sharma will bat as the opener.
Yesterday, India scored 202 for 0 after Rohit Sharma hit a massive century. The Test opener made a partnership with his partner Mayank Agarwal. They stitched a 200-run stand which helped the team. However, South Africa didn’t get the chance to bat when the match was delayed due to rain.
