Top 5 American Cities for Frequent Flyers

  • If you have a job that requires a lot of travel, or if you have family that lives across the country, you probably consider yourself a frequent flyer. If you do fly on a regular basis, you are probably familiar with the best airports and have preferences when it comes to layovers and which airports you fly into and out of.

If you find yourself preferring certain cities and airports when it comes to your regular flights, you might want to consider a move to a flyer-friendly city with a great airport. Obviously, there are certain cities with amazing airports that act as hubs when it comes to flying, and if you would find it more convenient to live near one of these hubs, consider moving to (or around) one of these cities:

    Atlanta, GA

Atlanta is clearly a top contender for best cities for frequent flyers, since it is home to the busiest airport in the world based on total passenger traffic, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Atlanta is known for its domestic flights, lack of cancellations, and over 100 international routes. Chances are, if you have flown in the United States, you have gone through the Atlanta Airport, and if you decide to make Atlanta a permanent destination to be close to this amazing airport, there are plenty of Atlanta houses for sale.

    Los Angeles, CA

LA only has one airport, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), but it is consistently the second busiest in the country. LAX is also known for its international destinations, as well as relatively low number of delays. If these sound like bonuses and you would enjoy the mild LA weather, Los Angeles may be the city for you.

    Seattle, WA

While Seattle is home to several airports, the major airport that handles most of Seattle’s air traffic is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, or Sea-Tac, which is one of the hubs for Delta Airlines. Sea-Tac is very efficient, with low rates of delays and cancellations. It is also known for affordable airfares for domestic flights and international destinations.

    New York, NY

New York City is the home to three major airports, LaGuardia Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and John F. Kennedy International Airport, which clearly makes it a great choice for a frequent flyer. Many airlines, including American Airlines and United Airlines have their main hubs at one of these three airports. New York is also a great choice if you travel internationally frequently, as it does the most international traffic of any airport in the country.

    Denver, CO

Many of the cities previously listed have been on the coasts, so if you were hoping to live in the center of the country, Denver would be a great option for a frequent flyer. Its central location in the country also means that many flights go in and out of Denver International Airport, which is also the largest airport in the country by area.

There are certainly many options for cities for frequent flyers across the country. From coast to coast and even in between, there is a city for you if you fly on a regular basis.
