Among the five fundamental pillars of the Islamic faith, the most divine form of worship is the Hajj pilgrimage. It is a journey to Makkah city that Muslim pilgrims from across the globe undertake annually during the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah traveling through hajj tickets 2022.
Though Hajj is the fifth and last pillar of the Islamic faith, it is only an obligation for those Muslims who possess all the means to afford it. For instance, paying for all of the hajj travel expenses, possessing the health for hajj travel as well as having the travel independence for it. If for a person, all of these conditions satisfy, hajj becomes obligatory for him/her at least once in a lifetime. It’s advised for such people to undertake the hajj pilgrimage as soon as possible and not delay its performance.

    Hajj period.
Hajj is an annual pilgrimage thus its rituals commence on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah and last till the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah (which is the last month of an Islamic year). Within this five-day period of Hajj, the pilgrims perform a variety of rituals at different places, as specified in the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).

    Significance of Hajj.

    Expiation of Sins.
It was narrated by Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) in a hadith that, whoever performs the Hajj pilgrimage for the sake of Allah Almighty and neither utters any obscene speech nor does any evil deed, will return home (free of sins) just as a newborn baby.

    Jihad equivalence for women.
The supreme form of worship in Islam is the performance of jihad for the sake of Allah Almighty. However, for those who cannot take part in it physically, the performance of the hajj is an alternative. It was narrated by Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) in a Hadith that the best jihad (for women) is Hajj-e-Mabrur.

    Purifies the Soul.
Hajj not only helps to educate the believer in order to follow the righteous path but also is a purification for the soul. All in all, providing with better moral senses.
Hajj also represents that every deed we do produces immense social benefits for Muslims as well as encourages a positive vibe among Muslim ummah.

    Entry to Jannah.
It was narrated by Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) in a hadith that, from one Umrah to another, it remains the expiation for what (sins) that come between them and Hajj Mabrûr has no reward except Jannah.

All in all, the hajj pilgrimage not only is religiously important for Muslims but also acts as a catalyst for improving one’s character. It instills the traits of patience and gratitude in a believer.
