Sarah Lazlow – Marada Productions – an Undefeatable Combination

    Hollywood, just like any other professional industry, has its own set of good and bad. It has proven to be the icing on the cake for many newbie actors and actresses, And for many others, a dead end. Sarah Lazow is one such individual who has not taken much time to show to her peers and industry colleagues her zeal and spirit to reach the top.

     

    Who is Sarah Lazow?

    Sarah Lazow - Marada Production is two names that many would recognize instantly. She is a film and TV series producer and financier. The role of a film producer is to find the money to finance a movie or a TV show. We all know that it takes a lot of money to make a movie. A responsible producer needs to ensure that the finances of every minute detail and every last aspect of a movie are addressed meaningfully.

     

    When a movie gets released, most media and critics judge the actor's performance and the actresses.  Some mention the artistic nuances of the director and other members of the crew. The Producer usually does not get much mention, but this is the person that has the biggest role to play. This person or business entity is the one that needs to arrange for the finances, or else the movie would never get completed or released.

     

    Steering through the rough waters, Sarah Lazow – Marada Productions has successfully financed one movie called 'The Weekend' and one TV series called 'V-Wars.' The Weekend had an interesting plot and was produced from the beginning till the end by Marada Pictures, Sarah's production company. Sarah wanted a grand launch for the movie and therefore decided to premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in 2018. The movie was selected for South by Southwest, Tribeca, and AFI in the festival. Directed by Stella Meghie, who had made a name for herself with her movie 'Everything Everything,' Sarah's first movie starred Sasheer Zamata as the central protagonist. The movie received appreciation from people across the industry, from the press and media, and her peers in the industry. Later, when the film was released in movie theatres across the country, the audience loved it. Every aspect of the move was acknowledged and spoken about – be it the script, the acting, and overall.

     

    After the movie's success, Sarah Lazow – Marada Production looked at the segment of TV Series. The first try was as an executive producer for a Netflix Original Series called 'V-Wars.' Made in 2019 by  Jonathan Maberry, and based on a book by the same name, the series starred Ian Somerhalder in the central role. The series also had Adrian Holmes, Kyle Breitkopf, Peter Outerbridge, and Jacky Lai. The series opened on Netflix in December 2019 and successfully ran for four months before being canceled in March 2020.

     

    Sarah proved to the world that she had more grit and power, while her leadership qualities have been praised by most of her own. She has exemplified the true spirit of womanhood.
