Sydney is one of the most desired tourist destinations on the planet and a staple in Australian tourism. The past years have been pretty rough in terms of fun and entertainment but now that the restrictions are off, people can once again head out to their favourite spots and have a good time. The Big Smoke has so much to offer both to its residents and tourists, in fact, one might be a bit overwhelmed at first. So here is a curated list of few of the top things to do in and around Sydney.

The harbour city of Australia is one of the most gorgeous cities in the world and you can easily take in some of its best sights onboard a lunch cruise in Sydney Harbour. Combining stunning views and delicious food, the harbour cruises are one of the most popular attractions among tourists and Sydneysiders. Exploring the city and its famous attractions on water is a game changer and topping it with food and drinks makes it even more special. Head out to the harbour, choose from top vessels including a premium glass boat, a multi-million dollar catamaran and a classic paddlewheeler, and set sail for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Click awesome snaps of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Fort Denison and much more as you gently cruise on the harbour waters. You can also choose to pair drinks and other beverages (purchasable) with the freshly prepared lunch to even further boost your experience! So book a Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise and witness the city in a new light!

Sydney, and Australia in general, is brimming with wildlife reserves, national parks and zoos. Taronga Zoo is one such non-profit-zoo offering harbourside views and housing over 4000 animals, including some threatened species. Zoo visits are ideal if you're planning to go out with the whole family, or even on a date! Taronga is laid out splendidly with wide and windy paths, and of course, a lot of animals everywhere, including some interesting ones– lions, tigers, bears, komodos, koalas, chimps, giraffes, hippos, and a lot more. The zoo has an active wildlife reservation programme so it also offers a fun way of learning about the parlous state of the planet and its many inhabitants. They also make songs and dances about its education, research, and conservation works so you can stroll around the zoo knowing that your fund is going to a worthwhile cause.

Sydney’s Bondi suburb not only houses one of its most famous beaches but also the most photographed pool in the whole of Australia. The Bondi Icebergs is a 50-metre saltwater pool right on the oceanfront and has been a landmark of Bondi for more than 90 years. You can easily spend a day here spending time under the sun, reading a book, taking in the views, the breeze and maybe even going for a swim. It’s a popular spot for sunbathers, a bottleneck spot on the iconic Bondi to Coogee Walk and of course, the ideal spot to capture your next Instagram post! Bronte Baths is also another saltwater pool where capturing the sunrise is one of the must-do activities. The waves at Bronte  Beach may be a bit overwhelming for beginners but you can still get the best of both worlds with this rock pool that has waves pounding off against its walls.

No trip to a city is complete without exploring its famous markets, especially if it's a city  like Sydney.  Head to Paddy’s Market, which is a shopper’s paradise, selling everything from locally produced food and seafood to fashion and accessories. Located right in the Central Business District, on the banks of River Nepean, the market comprises two levels of over 500 vendors, including arts & crafts, souvenirs, fresh food and much more!
