    Australia

Mother’s Day has long been a part of the Australian calendar, but not until 1924. The Mother’s Day date is the same as the date observed in the United States which is the second Sunday of May each year. It was Janet Heyden, a resident of Sydney, who restarted the celebration of mother’s Day by collecting gifts and concerns for lonely, forgotten and aged mothers. Even though it is not a public holiday, Aussies celebrate this special day to appreciate the achievements and efforts of their mother figures. From Mother’s Day dinner cruise on the world-famous Sydney Harbour to relaxed day trips to serene and popular parks and zoos, there are many events and activities Aussies love to do. Family reunions are the best part of Mother’s Day celebrations. If you have plans to hit somewhere cool to celebrate an amazing day with your family and friends on this upcoming special you can consider visiting this amazing coastal tourist destination and board a Mother’s Day cruise to share your laughter and unending conversations over a deluxe dining experience and million-dollar views of the Aussie delights.

Even though there is no specific meal associated with Mother’s Day, they will cook the classics of Mauritian cuisine including the ‘Biriyani’ and ‘Sept Cari’, a mouth-watering meal consisting of puri or rice and as the name states, seven curries laid in an orderly format and served on cleaned plantain leaves. If you have plans to hit this Indian Ocean island nation, there are many tropical beaches and bountiful natural attractions awaiting your visit. Get ready with your family and enjoy your time strengthening familial bonds while taking in the absolute best Mauritius has to offer. Try not to miss out on enjoying their freshly prepared delicious meals and exploring multi-ethnic cultural diversity.

    Thailand

As opposed to other countries we have seen so far, Mother’s Day in Thailand is celebrated on the 12th of August, along with the birthday of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit. People around the country will raise Thai flags and decorate their houses to express their loyalty and honour to her. Following the Thai tradition, as part of the special day, kids will kneel down before their mother and will present her with white jasmine flowers or garlands, a symbol of the purity of maternal love. Charitable activities, offerings to monks, and family meals are also an important part of this day in Thailand.
