10 Amazing Tips to Relieve Your Back Pain

    Chronic back pain can make you feel miserable. It can sideline you from your favorite activities and work. About eight in ten people struggle with different types of back pain. Untreated low back pain one of the leading causes of disability in the world according to WHO. However, there are different back pain treatment tactics. While some need to undergo surgery, others may just use the following tips.

    1. Practice yoga

    Yoga may extremely reduce the symptoms of back pain. It helps prevent muscle imbalance. Yoga poses and stretches can be very therapeutic. Start with cat-cow, upward-facing dog and downward-facing dog if you are a beginner in yoga. Repeat these exercises a few times a day. Soon you will notice positive changes in your spine and overall health.

    Meditation is a proven way to relieve stress and anxiety. Prolonged stress increases inflammation in the body and worsens overall well-being. Since meditation reduces stress levels, the inflammation may also decrease. For this reason, practicing meditation and mindfulness can be a good way to relieve back pain.

    More than half of the American population is overweight. Carrying excess weight can put an additional load on your back muscles and spine. This makes you feel back pain. 

    Losing weight can be difficult but it can help you manage back pain. This will also prevent you from developing more serious health conditions. 

    10. Choose flat shoes

    Of course, high heels and stilettos are fashionable. However, they can lead to muscle overuse and cause back pain. Even shoes with a  platform can harm your back over time. If you are not able to part with your favorite stilettos, try to limit the time you wear them to a minimum. You may also choose lower heels, that are less harmful.
