    Some Methods To Fix QuickBooks Error Code 102

    Method 1: Manually update your bank connection

    If you encounter a QuickBooks error 102, you should be aware that the bank itself won't respond right away. It follows that you must wait for a minimum of  24 hours. You can attempt to manually update QuickBooks' online bank connection during this period.

    • You must first log into QuickBooks Online
    • Following that, select the Banking or Transactions menu. 
    • Then select Update.

    Manually updating Bank Account in QuickBooks Self-Employed

    • You must first log into QuickBooks Self-Employed. 
    • Next, select the profile icon, then select Bank accounts. 
    • Continue by selecting Refresh All. 

    Although QuickBooks updated the bank account automatically at 3 am, if you still see QuickBooks Online Banking Error Code 102 after manually updating the accounts, wait for two to three hours and try refreshing the accounts again.

    Method 2: Continue checking the website for your bank or credit card 

    To ensure that everything is running smoothly on the bank's end or to learn about any latest update regarding the maintenance, you must visit the bank's and credit card's websites to determine whether they have informed you of any updates or ongoing issues at their end. 

    • To begin with, launch your browser and log in to the website of your bank or credit card. 
    • You must contact your bank or credit card operator to find an alternate solution if you are unable to sign in. 
    • Look for notifications, alerts, and messages on the bank's official website. Knowing that it is caused by a bank issue or a QuickBooks-related issue will be helpful.

    Method 3: Verify your bank login details 

    QuickBooks error 102 can sometimes be brought on by incorrect bank login information. Try connecting into your bank or credit card website first to troubleshoot and confirm that the information is accurate. After successfully logging into the bank website, take the following steps:

    • Choose the option to connect securely after doing any additional verification steps that are required. 
    • Choose the bank icon that is present to the left of the account you wish to connect
    • Additionally, select the bank type or credit card account from the drop-down option before selecting the account type. 
    • After you've connected your accounts, QuickBooks will retrieve all of your recent 90-day online transactions. Additionally, it will download credit card and banking transactions. 
    • Next, select Connect. Furthermore, it needs some time to start working. 
    • After the download is finished, you will be taken back to the banking page
    • Finally, you need to look over the tab with the transactions that were retrieved from your financial institution.

     

    Method 4: Make sure your bank account isn't new
