Parotid Cancer is divided into multiple stages and it is a way of checking cancer’s development and location, and how it is distressing the body. Diagnose is completed until the doctor analyzed the results of the biopsy.

    Stages of Parotid Cancer:

The TNM system is a tool to check the cancer level and diagnose results and scans will get the required facts:

A tumor: It describes the size of the primary tumor and the location of cancer.

Nodes: how much the tumor spread to the lymph nodes.

Metastasis(M): It is checked whether it is spread to other parts of the body.

All the results of these factors are combined for each patient. There are five stages of parotid cancer stage 0 and stages 1 to 4. It could be clinical or pathological. Clinical results mean the tests done before the surgery including the imaging tests and physical examination. Pathology tests are what the doctors find during the surgery.

    Cancer Stages:

Stage 1: Noninvasive Tumors (T1, T2):  It is the stage with no spread of cancer in lymph nodes and no distant metastasis.

Stage 2: Invasive Tumor (T3): No spread to lymph nodes and no metastasis.

Stage 3: Small tumors spread to lymph nodes and no metastasis.

Stage 4:Stage 4a: invasive tumor with no lymph node involvement or spread to single lymph but no metastasis.

Stage 4B: With extensive spread to lymph nodes in any cancer, no metastasis.

Stage 4C: Any Cancer with distant metastasis.

Recurrent cancer is also a part of the treatment which comes again after the entire surgery process. Therefore, after treatment, the entire set of diagnosing tests is required to perform.
