Apart from referring to a good UPSC prelims test series, there are a few DOs and DONTs that you need to keep in mind for cracking the exam well.

    1. Revision is the savior - To avoid losing marks on those topics, be sure to review and recall whichever topic and theme you are studying. Without adequate review, you'll enter the exam room more confused and end up with a lower positive result, which would negate all of your previous hard work.
    2. Pay attention to current affairs - In an effort to finish, many people make the error of scooping up current events books in the final few weeks. It will actually be a deluge of knowledge, and your memory might not be able to handle the rapid load. Spend a couple of hours every day starting right away studying current events, and remember to review frequently. Do not worry if you aren't able to accomplish all current affairs.
    3. Do not over-attempt the questions - Never assume you must attempt several questions. It can also be sufficient to attempt roughly 70 questions (in paper-I) well if the test appears to be particularly difficult and you have done well in your prep. Furthermore, there is no set amount, so do not feel pressured to attempt 90–100 questions because some top students did.

Thus, you must remember these points before preparing for the UPSC exam.
