    Body and mind awareness is the initial phase in the curriculum. Meditation is one of the best techniques to bring your body and mind into balance.

    Even those who have never meditated before can use this straightforward meditation practice. Simply lie on your back in a calm area without any outside noise distractions.

    Your arms and legs should be at your sides and your body should be at ease. Let your thoughts wander while you are lying flat on your back.

    Whatever these thoughts are, just allow them to pass. Start breathing deeply and focus on your breathing, the natural movement of your diaphragm, the air passing in and out of your nostrils if you find yourself becoming excited by a particular notion that urges you to get up and do something. Then return to your thoughts.

    Now that you are sitting still, pay attention to your bodily parts. Start with your feet, move up your legs to your abdomen, then up your arms, shoulders, chin, cheekbones, brows, and finally up to your head. For a few minutes, you can close your eyes and remain in this state. Slowly open your eyes and return to the present. You would experience a lighter and more serene feeling.

    Mindful Meditation - After becoming conscious of who you are, you can practice mindful meditation. You may have heard the phrase used frequently. To put it simply, mindful meditation, or, mindful anything, goes beyond awareness training because it involves focusing attention on a specific object.
