First, there are three major defects in ordinary escalators
Escalators are one of the more typical equipment for transporting passengers in public places, and are widely used in shopping malls, hotels, airports, stations and other places. There are three major defects in general escalators:
1, wasting Elevator Lift energy is amazing
For airports with obvious periodicity, stations and other places, the passenger flow is concentrated when the aircraft or train arrives, and the passengers are less during the rest of the time. For shopping malls, shopping malls, etc., the time is usually after opening the door in the morning, eating at noon, and before the night. Less passenger traffic; for hotels, building materials and furniture markets, etc., the passenger flow throughout the day is not as good as shopping malls, shopping centers and other places. So far, most escalators are powered by direct power, and no speed regulation is required, so that the escalator still runs at full speed when no one is riding, causing a large amount of electrical energy wasted.
Suppose an escalator runs for 10 hours a day, with an air vacancy rate of 50% (motor power is 7.5 kW). The annual waste of electricity is: 7.5 degrees / hour × 5 hours / day × 365 days = 13687.5 degrees per kWh of 1.00 yuan Price calculation, the annual loss of an escalator is 13,687.50 yuan
    2. Serious mechanical wear and shortened service life
Since the escalator adopts the direct start mode, it usually runs for more than eight hours every day. The escalator always maintains high speed operation with or without passengers, and its mechanical wear is relatively large. The life of an escalator is generally around ten years. After the age, the wear of the main components is quite serious. It is necessary to replace a large number of main components or simply update the entire ladder to continue service.
3, the failure rate is high, resulting in high cost of use
Because the escalator keeps running at full speed for a long time, its handrails, comb plates, steps and other components wear quickly. In addition to the large cost of replacing parts, the increased wear gap often causes the escalator to malfunction and stop running or cause malfunction. Hidden dangers and accidents are very troublesome for users, passengers and escalator maintenance units.
